Lark

What makes this hull very easy to build is the non-rockered bottom. The down side of this design is that if you are heavy, and you try to row too fast, you will generate a lot of suction off the stern. Ken has a sail plan for the hull and I did build a sailing version but used a spritsail rig rather than his sloop rig. If you build one of Ken's boats and send a picture of your child in the boat he will send you a dollar. I still have the dollar.

I built three of these hulls in 1990/91 and they are still in use. The kids use them on the lake as they would use bicycles on the road. With the logging trucks careening down the lake road it seems to me to be a lot is a lot safer to have them on the water than on the road.
